Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA), 21-20 in a league battle.
With the win, Wheatland improves its record to 2-6 on the season. The Pirates host Center (Antelope, CA) to play the Cougars in a battle on Friday, October 25. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 5-2. Center won 16-12 in their recent league battle against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)
The Indians now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Oakmont for a battle on Friday, October 25. Marysville will play a Vikings team coming off a 28-16 non-league win over Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 5-2.
