The Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks (Metairie, LA) volleyball held off the host Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Chipmunks now possess a 19-12 record. They play next when they travel to Assumption for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 19. Archbishop Chapelle will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Morgan City (Morgan City, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-16.

With the loss, Newman drops to 18-9 on the campaign. The Greenies travel to Assumption (Napoleonville, LA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, October 18. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 14-16. Assumption won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Morgan City (Morgan City, LA)
