Virginia High School Volleyball - Carlisle overwhelmed by New Covenant

October 18, 2024: Axton, VA 24054

New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, New Covenant improves its record to 15-6 on the season. The Gryphons travel to Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Monday, October 21. The Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 23-1. Timberlake Christian won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA)

The Chiefs now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Blue Ridge test on Tuesday, October 22. Carlisle will face a Celtics squad coming off a 3-0 league win over North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 8-12.
