Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), 17-14 in a non-league battle.

With the triumph, Carmel upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign.

Coming up next, the Ramblers meet the Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 18. Loyola Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The RedHawks come into the match with a 8-4 record after their 39-14 non-league win over Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL).
