The Monsignor Farrell Lions got by the host Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders football team by a score of 7-6 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions play the Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 25. Monsignor Farrell will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Gaels go into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 33-7 non-league win over Chaminade (Mineola, NY).
The Crusaders (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY). The Cardinals go into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Cardinal Hayes was edged by St. Anthony's (Melville, NY), 34-0, in a non-league challenge.
