Wellington Eagles (Wellington, CO) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), 12-2 in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now possess a 20-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weld Central for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 18. Wellington will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Brush (Brush, CO). The Rebels record now stands at 9-14.
