Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting South County Vipers (Franklin, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Suns (28-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Calhoun (Hardin, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 19-9 record. In their last challenge, Calhoun beat Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL), 2-0, in a league test.

The Vipers now sport a 13-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] for a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. South County will face a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to South County (Franklin, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 3-23.
