In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Churchill Lancers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Philomath Warriors.

The Lancers (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Marshfield went down by Marist (Eugene, OR), 3-0, in a league test.

The Warriors now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Marion for a 4A Oregon West test on Tuesday, October 21. Philomath will face a Huskies squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 2-13.
