Illinois High School Volleyball - Larkin can't get by Evanston

Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildkits (11-22) will now prepare for their challenge against Zion-Benton (Zion, IL). The Zee-Bees come into the non-league challenge with a 9-15 record. In their last challenge, Zion-Benton was nudged by Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
The Royals now sport a 2-26 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheeling for a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. Larkin will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 18-10.
