The Thurston Colts volleyball squad (Springfield, OR), was knocked off 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Grant Generals (Portland, OR)

The Generals (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Corvallis (Corvallis, OR). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Corvallis notched a victory over Woodburn (Woodburn, OR), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Colts encounter the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) in a 5A Midwestern battle, on Tuesday, October 21. Thurston will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Millers go into the battle with a 7-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR).
