In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Wheeling Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Highland Park Giants.
The Wildcats (23-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Royals come into the non-league challenge with a 2-23 record. In their last challenge, Larkin lost by Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Giants now sport a 10-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grayslake Central for a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. Highland Park will face a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Lakes (Lake Villa, IL). The Rams record now stands at 20-9.
