The Maine West Warriors volleyball team (Des Plaines, IL), was knocked off 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL)

The Lions (21-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 9-18 record. In their last contest, Sandburg notched a victory over Stagg (Palos Hills, IL), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) in a Central Suburban battle, on Tuesday, October 21. Maine West will attempt to improve on its 9-18 season record. The Vikings go into the battle with a 15-15 record after their 2-0 league win over Highland Park (Highland Park, IL).
