The Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) volleyball overcame the host St. Scholastica Doves (Covington, LA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league match.
Next up, the Greenies battle the Parkview Baptist Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 21. Newman will attempt to move on its 19-8 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 15-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Collegiate (Baton Rouge, LA).
The Doves (19-8) will now prepare for their battle against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels go into the Division II District 6 battle with a 7-14 record. In their last battle, Pearl River dropped by Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
