In Saturday's non-league test, the host Pacific Grove Breakers volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Santa Cruz Cardinals.

The Breakers (20-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA). The Mustangs come into the Pacific Coast - Gabilan challenge with a 7-16 record. In their last challenge, Monte Vista Christian beat King City (King City, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Harbor Pirates (Santa Cruz, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 18. Santa Cruz will attempt to advance on its 16-9 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 16-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Hollister (Hollister, CA).
