The Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL) volleyball knocked off the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Indians now hold a 10-17 record. They take the field next when they host Dixon for a Big Northern match on Tuesday, October 21. Winnebago will battle a Dukes & Duchesses squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses record now stands at 20-8.
The Panthers (14-14) will now prepare for their match against Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL). The Rockets enter the Tri-County match with a 6-21 record. In their last match, Roanoke-Benson was outscored by Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL), 2-0, in a non-league match.
