Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Wilby Wildcats (Waterbury, CT), 7-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines confront the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley challenge, on Thursday, October 20. Oxford will attempt to better on its 11-0 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Crosby (Waterbury, CT).

The Wildcats now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Crosby for a Naugatuck Valley challenge on Monday, October 24. Wilby will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-11.
