North Carolina High School Football - Chase overwhelms Patton

October 19, 2023: Forest City, NC 28043

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), observed Chase's football squad bounce Patton by a count of 59-0.

The Trojans now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host R-S Central for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills contest on Friday, October 27. Chase will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 41-28 non-league win over Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-6.

Coming up next, the Panthers encounter the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills contest, on Friday, October 27. Patton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Bearcats go into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 24-0 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).
