The Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO) football overcame the visiting Niwot Cougars (Niwot, CO), 14-3 in Thursday's league bout.

In their next game, the Mavericks clash with the Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO) in a 3A North Central bout, on Friday, October 27. Mead will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the bout with a 4-4 record after their 41-36 league win over Denver North (Denver, CO).

The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO). The Ravens enter the 3A North Central bout with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, Riverdale Ridge thwarted George Washington (Denver, CO), 43-13, in a league bout.
