In their next game, the Eagles face the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 26. Abilene will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Sandies enter the bout with a 4-5 record after their 27-0 non-league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX).

The Mustangs (1-6) will now prepare for their bout against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen enter the non-league bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Monterey was overwhelmed by Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 30-22, in a non-league bout.
