California High School Football - Grossmont knocks off Santana

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) and the visiting Santana Sultans (Santee, CA), observed Grossmont's football squad thwart Santana by a tally of 28-9.

The Foothillers now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Granite Hills for a contest on Wednesday, October 25. Grossmont will play a Eagles squad coming off a 28-6 league win over Helix (La Mesa, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-0.

Coming up next, the Sultans play the West Hills Wolf Pack (Santee, CA) in a contest, on Thursday, October 26. Santana will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Wolf Pack go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 28-14 league loss to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA).
