The Chalmette Owls volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls to 0 in the Owls non-league victory on Thursday.
The Owls now have a 23-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Chapelle for a Division I District 7 game on Tuesday, October 24. Chalmette will meet a Chipmunks team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Newman (New Orleans, LA). The Chipmunks record now stands at 15-16.
The Swamp Owls (17-11) will now prepare for their game against Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Rams enter the Division II District 6 game with a 13-11 record. In their last game, Carver Collegiate Academy gained a win over Cohen (New Orleans, LA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
