In Thursday's league battle, the host Ferndale Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mount Vernon Bulldogs.

The Golden Eagles (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Mariners come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Sehome achieved victory over Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle, on Monday, October 23. Mount Vernon will attempt to advance on its 3-12 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 17-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA).
