New Mexico High School Football - West Las Vegas thwarted by St. Michael's

October 19, 2024: Santa Fe, NM 87505

St. Michael's Horsemen (Santa Fe, NM) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM), 28-6 in a league battle.

With the win, St. Michael's improves its record to 8-0 on the season. The Horsemen travel to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to play the Elks/Elkettes in a 3A District 2 battle on Friday, October 25. The Elks/Elkettes go into the battle with a record of 5-3. Pojoaque Valley won 59-6 in their recent non-league battle against Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM)

The Dons now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hope Christian for a 3A District 2 battle on Saturday, October 26. West Las Vegas will play a Huskies team coming off a 34-13 league loss to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Huskies record now stands at 4-5.
