Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD) and the host Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD), observed Pine Ridge's volleyball team top Bison by a tally of 2-0.
The Thorpes (16-12) will now prepare for their contest against Kadoka (Kadoka, SD). The Kougars enter the non-league contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Kadoka beat Jones County (Murdo, SD), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Cardinals meet the Lemmon Cowboys (Lemmon, SD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 19. Bison will attempt to upgrade on its 2-21 season record. The Cowboys enter the contest with a 11-10 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] (Elgin, ND).
