In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Calhoun Christian Cougars.

The Fighting Tigers (19-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 33-5 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview lost by Portage Northern (Portage, MI), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Calhoun Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Beavers come into the challenge with a 41-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Marshall (Marshall, MI).
