The Marshfield Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Douglas Trojans to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now possess a 21-2 record. They play next when they host North Bend for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 19. Marshfield will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league win over Junction City (Junction City, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Douglas drops to 11-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR) to play the Lancers in a 3A Far West outing on Tuesday, October 22. The Lancers come into the outing with a record of 5-10. South Umpqua lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Siuslaw (Florence, OR)
