In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Rochester Rockets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the East St. Louis Flyers.
The Rockets (13-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Senators come into the Central State Eight challenge with a 14-13 record. In their last challenge, Springfield beat Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Flyers play the Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) in a Southwestern challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. East St. Louis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 18-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Columbia (Columbia, IL).
