Albany Academy for Girls Bears (Albany, NY) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears face the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians (Ravena, NY) in a Colonial Council challenge, on Wednesday, October 4. Albany Academy for Girls will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 10-4 league loss to Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY).

The Cadets now have a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they host Academy of the Holy Names for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5. La Salle Institute will face a team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY). The record now stands at 0-9.
