St. John Paul II Lions (Hyannis, MA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Falmouth Academy Mariners (Falmouth, MA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions face the Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) in a Cape and Islands challenge, on Thursday, October 5. St. John Paul II will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Whalers enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-3 league Monomoy (Harwich, MA).
The Mariners now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cape Cod RVT for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 6.
