Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 9-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Minutemen confront the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Lewis County will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV).

The Cougars now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Preston for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Lincoln will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Southern (Oakland, MD). The Knights record now stands at 2-12.
