North Shelby Raiders (Shelbyville, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Atlanta Hornets (Atlanta, MO), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Scotland County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. North Shelby will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Highland (Ewing, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Atlanta falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Hornets host La Plata (La Plata, MO) to battle the Bulldogs in a Class 1 District 10 challenge on Thursday, October 5. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 18-4. La Plata won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Meadville (Meadville, MO)
