Eagle Valley Devils (Gypsum, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Basalt Longhorns (Basalt, CO), 18-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Devils now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Palisade for a 4A Western Slope challenge on Thursday, October 5. Eagle Valley will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Grand Junction Central (Grand Junction, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Basalt falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO) to face the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 2. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Battle Mountain lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO)
