Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cambridge Bears (Milton, GA), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walton for a 7A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Cherokee will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Pope (Marietta, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Cambridge falls to 15-7 on the campaign. The Bears host Creekview (Canton, GA) to battle the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 4. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Creekview won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Etowah (Woodstock, GA)
