In Monday's non-league contest, the DeKalb Tigers (DeKalb, MO) softball team held off the visiting King City Wildkats (King City, MO), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, DeKalb moves its record to 1-15 on the year. The Tigers travel to North Andrew (Rosendale, MO) to play the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 5. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 13-9. North Andrew lost 7-6 in their recent non-league contest against West Platte (Weston, MO)
In their next game, the Wildkats play the Gallatin Bulldogs (Gallatin, MO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 3. King City will attempt to move on its 6-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 10-3 record after their 15-0 non-league win over East Buchanan (Gower, MO).
