Heritage Eagles (Littleton, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Vista for a 5A Continental challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Heritage will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Ponderosa (Parker, CO). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Ponderosa falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Chaparral (Parker, CO) to face the Wolverines in a 5A Continental challenge on Wednesday, October 4. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 8-13. Chaparral won 20-10 in their recent league challenge against Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO)
