North County Raiders (Bonne Terre, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sikeston Bulldogs (Sikeston, MO), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host Jackson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. North County will face a Fighting Indians squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Howell Central (St. Charles, MO). The Fighting Indians record now stands at 26-5.

With the loss, Sikeston falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to East Carter (Ellsinore, MO) to face the Redbirds in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. East Carter won 20-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Naylor (Naylor, MO)
