The Perquimans Pirates topped the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Monday's non-league test.

The Pirates now have a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington County for a Four Rivers 1A test on Tuesday, October 3. Perquimans will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-9.

The Chargers (15-1) will now prepare for their test against North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Panthers enter the Eastern Plains 2A test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, North Pitt gained a win over SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC), 3-1, in a league test.
