The Hillcrest Patriots volleyball team scored 25 points and limited the visiting Parker Thundering Herd to 14 in the Patriots non-league victory on Monday.

The Patriots now have a 18-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paul W. Bryant for a 6A Area 6 game on Monday, October 2. Hillcrest will meet a Stampede team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Huffman (Birmingham, AL). The Stampede record now stands at 10-15.

The Thundering Herd (13-14) will now prepare for their game against Bessemer City (Bessemer, AL). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 2-12 record. In their last game, Bessemer City dropped by Brookwood (Brookwood, AL), 3-0, in a league game.
