The Wheeler Lions volleyball team (North Stonington, CT), went down 3-1 in Monday's league challenge with the host Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT)

The Panthers (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, East Lyme defeated Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions encounter the Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 4. Wheeler will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Colonels enter the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT).
