The South Mecklenburg Sabres were victorious over the visiting Palisades Pumas football team by a score of 41-28 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Sabres face the Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 9. South Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 18-6 non-league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC).

The Pumas (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Olympic fell by Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC), 42-12, in a non-league challenge.
