Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Lehighton Indians (Lehighton, PA) and the host Pen Argyl Green Knights (Pen Argyl, PA), saw Lehighton's soccer squad hold off Pen Argyl by a count of 2-1.

The Indians (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners enter the non-league battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Minersville tipped Weatherly (Weatherly, PA), 7-3, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Green Knights confront the Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA) in a Colonial battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Pen Argyl will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Slaters enter the battle with a 7-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Saucon Valley (Hellertown, PA).
