Illinois High School Volleyball - Mercer County over Farmington

Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) and the visiting Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL), observed Mercer County's volleyball team top Farmington by a count of 2-0.

The Golden Eagles (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL). The Titans enter the Three Rivers contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Monmouth-Roseville was knocked off by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Farmers meet the Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) in a Prairieland North contest, on Monday, October 7. Farmington will attempt to move on its 12-8 season record. The Indians enter the contest with a 10-14 record after their 2-0 league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
