In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Morgan City Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Franklin Hornets.

The Tigers (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against South Lafourche (Galliano, LA). The Tarpons enter the Division II District 7 challenge with a 16-7 record. In their last challenge, South Lafourche beat Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Vermilion Catholic Eagles (Abbeville, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Southside (Youngsville, LA).
