In Wednesday's non-league match, the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Huskies battle the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 2. Hoover will attempt to move on its 22-4 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 8-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Roane County (Spencer, WV).

The Grizzlies (11-15) will now prepare for their match against Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Redskins enter the non-league match with a 8-11 record. In their last match, Hurricane notched a victory over Independence (Coal City, WV), 2-0, in a non-league match.
