Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) and the host West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ), observed Sparta's volleyball team top West Milford by a count of 2-0.

The Spartans (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Voorhees notched a victory over Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Highlanders meet the Clifton Mustangs (Clifton, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 4. West Milford will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Passaic (Passaic, NJ).
