The North Woods grizzlies football squad scored 30 points and limited the visiting Blackduck Drakes to 26 in the grizzlies league triumph on Thursday.
The grizzlies now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cook County for a District 9 North - North (9 Man) challenge on Thursday, October 9. North Woods will face a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 league win over Bigfork (Bigfork, MN). The Vikings record now stands at 5-0.
The Drakes (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN). The Vikings enter the District 9 North - North (9 Man) game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Littlefork-Big Falls edged South Ridge (Culver, MN), 20-16, in a league outing.
