In Thursday's non-league match, the host Chalmette Owls football squad scored a good 20-6 triumph over the Pearl River Rebels.
The Owls (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Green Wave come into the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Ponchatoula prevailed over Independence (Independence, LA), 34-13, in a non-league battle.
The Rebels now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Hannan for a 4A District 7 battle on Friday, October 10. Pearl River will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 34-7 non-league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-3.
