Covington Lions (Covington, LA) boosters left the game content Thursday as they observed their football squad top the host Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA), 28-7 in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions play the Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Covington will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Skippers go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 35-19 non-league win over Northshore (Slidell, LA).
With the defeat, Fontainebleau drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Slidell (Slidell, LA) to meet the Tigers in a 5A District 7 test on Friday, October 10. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 3-2. Slidell lost 35-28 in their recent non-league test against Hammond (Hammond, LA)
