The Homestead Mustangs football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Monta Vista Matadors to 0 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cupertino for a Peninsula - Lake challenge on Thursday, October 9. Homestead will face a Pioneers team coming off a 44-7 league loss to MacDonald (San Jose, CA). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-5.

The Matadors (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mills (Millbrae, CA). The Vikings enter the Peninsula - Lake challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Mills was ripped by El Camino (South San Francisco, CA), 21-0, in a league challenge.
