The Grapevine Mustangs walloped the visiting Burleson Elks football team by a score of 43-6 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) in a challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Grapevine will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record.

The Elks (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against The Colony (The Colony, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last test, The Colony triumphed over Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX), 22-16, in a non-league test.
